Burnhead prepares to welcome new minister
MEMBERS of a Viewpark church said a fond farewell to the locum minister who has been carrying out services there for the past three years.
Rev Bill Cullen has acting as locum minister during the ministerial vacancy at Burnhead Church, conducting worship and carrying out some pastoral work for the congregation on a part-time basis during that time.
As a mark of appreciation, Rev Cullen was presented with gifts from the congregation by children from the Sunday School and he in turn thanked members for their faithful support and wished them and their new minister well.
The new Burnhead minister is Les Brunger who will be ordained and inducted in a service at the church on Thursday, Septmber 2, at 7pm.
The service will be conducted by Rev John McPake, Moderator of Hamilton Presbytery.
