Young Lanarkshire artists go on display

YOUNG artists from across North Lanarkshire feature in a new exhibition.

From Black Mountain to Blue Water is now open at Summerlee Museum in Coatbridge showcasing the work of over 50 senior pupils who attended a residential art school at North Lanarkshire Council's Kilbowie Centre, by Oban.

The council's head of learning and leisure services Christine Pollock said: "I am most impressed by the range and quality of the work on show at this, our sixth Kilbowie exhibition.

"The Kilbowie experience not only provides them with the opportunity to explore, investigate and communicate with like-minded fellows, it also challenges and stretches their creative thinking and practical skills."

Admission to the exhibition is free and runs until Sunday, January 10, open seven days from 10am–4pm.
