BELLSHILL was hit by Biebermania last week when Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber was in town to sing to pupils at Bellshill Academy.

The star, whose debut album produced four top 40 US hits, dropped by after lucky first-year pupil Abbie Milligan won the chance to have him perform at the school.

Abbie entered a Radio Clyde competition where she had to identify Justin's date of birth and her reward was a personal visit by the star last Thursday to sing to her and her classmates.

Justin was named the hottest star of 2009 and biggest newcomer of the year by Much Music and listed by Celebuzz as one of the Top 10 YouTube stars of the decade.

After some pictures and an initial soundcheck the party started with Justin entertaining his adoring fans with a range of his hits, including 'Favourite Girl', 'One Time' and 'Baby'.
