A SUCCESSFUL free swim initiative run by North Lanarkshire Leisure will be continuing this summer again.

The free swims programme is available for all youngsters under the age of 16 on Monday to Fridays between 10am and 4pm, until Friday, August 14.

Extra staff will be brought in over the summer period to help the swimming pools across the area to prepare for the influx of youngsters taking up the offer.

Children from four to seven years of age must be accompanied into the water by a responsible adult with no more than two children per adult; under fours must be accompanied by an adult on a one to one basis and children eight and over are free to enter without supervision restriction.

The free swim offer will be available at Sir Matt Busby Sports Complex, Bellshill; Aquatec, Motherwell; and Wishaw Sports Centre.
